Original Oil Paintings and Commissions

At Brunswick Fine Art, we understand that commissioning artwork can be a little daunting. Whether the painting is for yourself or a present for a loved one, it's important to understand the process involved. This is where we can help. We're here to make the whole process as simple as possible.

When you commission a painting from Brunswick Fine Art you will talk directly to me, the artist. I will take time to discuss your needs and ideas. During these discussions we will look at some important issues. Questions like "How long will the commission take to complete?", "How much will my painting cost?", "How large or small will the finished work be?" and "How would you like the subject to be portrayed?" are all aspects which need to be taken into account prior to work beginning.

It is important to get answers to these and other questions, so time spent here will enable me to proceed having a better idea of what you had in mind. There is no charge for these consultations as it is important  that you understand the process and are happy before I formerly begin work.

All artists have subjects to which their style is best suited. I specialize in aviation, nature, and landscapes. So it may be that the painting you would like may not be where my strengths lie and this will be discussed prior to commissioning.

I want you to be pleased with and to enjoy your painting so pride myself on being able to give an honest appraisal. In some cases this means that I may, indeed, turn down a commission but I strongly feel this is better than painting something where my own artistic strengths are not suited and you the client purchasing a painting that you do not like.

Please telephone during office hours (9.30am to 5.30pm) or email us using the information on Contact Us. I will be able to discuss your requirements and give you some answers to any questions you may have.
